Gloucester Township Police Media Release- Gloucester Township Police ATV Enforcement Operation Leads to Arrest 1-13-2026

On 01/11/2026, at approximately 4:00 pm, officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department were working an ATV enforcement operation in the Breckenridge development, due to community concerns of subjects repeatedly operating a dirt bikes in the area recklessly.  During the operation officers were operating in a plain clothes capacity, and also utilizing unmarked police vehicles. 

While on the operation officers came upon an adult male, identified as Matthew G. Perry, who was operating a dirt bike in the area of St. Moritz Drive and Breckenridge Drive.  A motor vehicle stop was conducted, which during the course of the stop it was revealed that
Matthew had an outstanding warrant out of Camden County Prosecutors Office for unrelated charges.  Once in custody, Matthew was found to be in possession of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine.  The dirt bike Matthew was operating was towed for being unregistered and uninsured.

Matthew was transported to Gloucester Township Police Headquarters, where he was charged on a Criminal Summons with 3rd degree Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and remanded to Camden County Jail pending court time and date on his outstanding warrant.

The Gloucester Township Police Department urges residents to remain alert and report concerns of reckless use of dirt bikes and ATV’s.  Chief Anthony Minosse said, “Our residents deserve to feel safe and heard in their neighborhoods.  When illegal riding becomes a pattern and disturbs the peace of our communities it is our responsibility to step in and correct it with enforcement.”
