The Skagway Police Department would like to advise you to use extreme caution, especially while driving, tonight and into tomorrow morning. The weather forecast is heavy rain, snow in the higher elevations, and high winds with gust up to 70 miles per hour. The high winds could result in loss of power combined with downed trees, branches, power lines, and flying debris. Please be prepared to be without power and have supplies on hand for at least 24 hours. If you see downed trees, large branches, or any debris that is concerning, please call police dispatch at 907-983-2232.
