UPDATE:
I-43 southbound has been fully reopened for travel following a multi-vehicle crash on Thursday, January 15, 2026, near Atkinson Drive.
The reopening occurred around 8:35 a.m., which was about an hour after the crash near the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge.
Some minor injuries have been reported at this time.
The cause is still under investigation.

TRAFFIC ALERT: I-43 SB Closed Due to Multi-Vehicle Crash near Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge
The Green Bay Police Department is advising drivers who travel I-43 southbound near Atkinson Drive to find an alternate route this morning, Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Police are on scene of a multi-vehicle crash on I-43 southbound near the Leo Frigo Memorial Bridge that occurred around 7:45 a.m.
The cause and any injuries are unknown at this time.
We are asking that drivers exit the interstate if heading southbound using Atkinson Drive.
We will advise when the crash is cleared and this portion of the interstate is back open.
