TRAFFIC ADVISORY
Church Street, between Haledon Avenue and Richardson Avenue, is currently closed due to a single-vehicle crash involving a school bus that was occupied only by the driver and a bus aide. The bus struck a utility pole.
There were no children on the bus at the time of the incident. The driver reportedly suffered a medical emergency and was transported to the hospital. The bus aide was also transported to the hospital for observation.
The Haledon Police Department, Haledon Fire Department, and PSE&G are on scene.
As per PSE&G, the reopening timeframe remains unknown at this time. Motorists are strongly advised to avoid the area and use alternate routes to allow emergency responders and utility crews to safely complete necessary repairs.
