City of Birmingham Snow Emergency Parking Ban
A City of Birmingham snow emergency
During an emergency parking ban, it is a civil infraction to park a vehicle or allow it to remain parked on any residential roadway until it has been cleared of snow. Please do not shovel snow into the road or onto someone else's property. Illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed and may be towed, and the registered owner of such a vehicle will be responsible for the towing cost. No tickets will be issued to vehicles with a handicapped parking designation.
Gates at the Chester Street Parking Structure (180 Chester Street) will be open for free access to assist residents with moving vehicles off the street during the parking ban. For parking concerns, please call police dispatch at (248) 530-1889.
