INCIDENT: H&S 11378(A) - Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale
H&S 11379(A) - Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sale

LOCATION: Interstate 40 E and Needles Hwy, Needles, CA

SUSPECT 1: Michael Brooks, 59-years-old, Resident of Mohave Valley, AZ 
SUSPECT 2: Sean Sullivan, 38-years-old, Resident of Mohave Valley, AZ

VICTIM(S): State of California


SUMMARY: On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at approximately 7:33 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department conducted a traffic stop near the Interstate 40 E and W Needles Hwy.

During the traffic stop, deputies contacted the driver, Michael Brooks, and  passenger, Sean Sullivan.  Brooks was found to be on felony probation and had a felony warrant for his arrest for H&S 11379(A)-Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale. Inside the vehicle, deputies located approximately three ounces of suspected methamphetamine and $3100.00 in cash, consistant with drug sales.

Michael Brooks was subsequently arrested for H&S 11378(A)- Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale, H&S 11379(A) - Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sale and his active felony warrant for H&S 11379(A)- Transportation of a Controlled Substance for Sale.  Brooks was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with no bail, awaiting a court hearing.

Sean Sullivan was subsequently arrested for H&S 11378(A)- Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sale and H&S 11379(A) - Transportation of Controlled Substance for Sale. Sullivan was transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking and remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department on $30,000.00 bail, awaiting a court hearing.
