The Klondike Highway remains closed; commercial traffic and emergency traffic are the only permitted uses due to the harsh conditions of the road. If needing to travel for a medical emergency, be mindful of the risks of the highway, pack ample supplies for a number of emergency situations should the road become impassable, and it is highly recommended to follow behind a commercial fuel truck to help guide the way.
