Deputy William Guzman with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 23-year-old Skyla Marie Goodman of Marion with the following:
• Felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance
• Felony Possession of Methamphetamine
• Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
• Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana up to ½ ounce
She was issued a secured bond of $20,000.
On Sunday, Jan. 11, deputies responded to a call about a trespassing incident. The information provided by the victim led deputies to locate the suspects parked at a gas station near the Sugar Hill exit in Marion. Goodman was a passenger in the vehicle.
She was found to be in possession of suspected amounts of meth, fentanyl and marijuana after a subsequent search of the car and passengers.
The N.C. State Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.
