Special Weather Statement until 12:30PM
A band of snow showers will continue to lift northeast across south central Lower Michigan this morning which will be followed by an increase in lake effect snow showers through the remainder of the day. Westerly wind gusts to around 35 mph will combine with this snowfall to create areas of blowing and drifting snow despite the limited snow accumulations. Be prepared for variable road conditions due to blowing snow along with rapid fluctuations in visibilities across short distances due to the banded nature of lake effect snow.
