INCIDENT: Fatal crash
LOCATION: Seventh Street and Circle Drive, Victorville
VICTIM(S): Jimmy Jones, 60-year-old resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY:
On Monday, January 19, 2026, at about 6:40 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Station, along with Victorville Fire Department and American Medical Response personnel, responded to the area of Seventh Street and Circle Drive for a vehicle versus pedestrian crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed the pedestrian, Jimmy Jones, walked into the number two north bound lane of Seventh Street near the intersection of Circle Drive. A black Chevrolet Suburban drove north in the number two northbound lane of Seventh Street and struck Jones near the intersection. Jones sustained major injuries and was transported to Saint Mary's Hosptial where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Suburban remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. Members of the Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation.
Seventh Street and Circle Drive were closed for about three hours for the investigation.
