Any residents in the Fairview Road area - specifically near Jacktown and Parker’s Chapel Roads, Poteat Road, and Bob's Import Drive - who have surveillance on their property are asked to check their camera footage beginning around 9 a.m. this morning.

***BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR RUNAWAY JUVENILE LEVI WHITAKER – LAST SEEN NEAR BOB’S IMPORT DRIVE***
The McDowell County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance with locating a runaway juvenile, 15-year-old Levi Garrett Whitaker, whose been reported missing out of Cleveland County. Whitaker was spotted today in McDowell County after wrecking a stolen Cleveland Co. vehicle, in the area of Jacktown and Parker’s Chapel roads. Whitaker fled on foot and was last seen near Bob’s Import Drive. He is wearing a dark gray or black Nike jumpsuit.
For public safety, residents in the surrounding area are encouraged to secure their homes by locking doors and ensuring all vehicles are properly locked.
