Per Town Code 10-1.1, the emergency snow route declaration will go into effect beginning Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 8:00 am.
The roadways affected are:
- Thompson Street from Town limits to the Railroad Tracks
- Hanover Avenue from Town limits to Thompson Street
- S. Center Street from Lee Street to Ashcake Road
- Henry Street from Archie Cannon Drive to England Street
- Hill Carter Parkway from Kitty Hamilton to England Street
- Kitty Hamilton Lane from Hill Carter Parkway to N Carter Road
- N. Carter Road from Kitty Hamilton Lane to England Street
- S. Carter Road from England Street to Devereux Drive
If cars are parked in such a way to impede snow removal, your vehicle might be towed. Please do your part in helping us keep the roadways safe and move your vehicle prior to 8:00 am this Saturday, January 24, 2026.
