LOCATION: Seventh Street/D Street, Victorville
SUSPECT: Rick Whiting, age of 63, resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
Members from the Sheriff's Victor Valley Transit Detail received information of a suspect engaged in the illicit sale of narcotics while parked in the parking lot of the Victor Valley Transportation Center, in Victorville.
On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Deputy Mora observed the vehicle matching the description provided and initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Seventh Street and D Street, in Victorville. Deputy Mora contacted the driver, identified as Rick Whiting. During a search of Whiting’s vehicle, Deputy Mora located approximately four ounces of suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, Phencyclidine (PCP), and PCP laced tobacco.
Additionally, Mora located digital scales, plastic baggies, aluminum foil sheets, Narcan, and U.S. currency in various denominations. Whiting was arrested for multiple felony narcotics related violations and booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto
