INCIDENT: PC 211 - Robbery
LOCATION: 13000 block of Havasu Lake Rd., Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): Tyson Rowney, 44-Years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Saturday, January 17, 2026 at approximately 11:15 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a reported robbery near the 13000 block of Havasu Lake Rd.
During the investigation, deputies determined that the suspect, identified as Tyson Rowney, forcibly stole the victim's purse and fled the area. The victim did not require medical assistance at the scene.
Deputies conducted an initial search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspect. A search warrant was subsequently obtained for Rowney's residence.
At approximately 3:21 p.m., deputies served the search warrant at Rowney's home, where he was located and taken into custody. During the service of the search warrant, deputies recovered the victim's stolen purse.
Rowney was arrested and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking on the above mentioned charges. Rowney remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail set at $50,000.00, pending a court hearing. The investigation remains ongoing.
