DIXON, CURRY RECEIVE FELONY DRUG CHARGES
In the early morning hours of Friday, January 9, McDowell County Drug Enforcement along with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Swat Team executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence in Marion.
A search of the home turned up methamphetamine, marijuana, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the sale/distribution of narcotics.
As a result, the following individuals were charged by McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Lieutenant Richard Pittman:
• 36-year-old Larry Thomas Dixon, Jr., of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine; felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Deliver Methamphetamine; and felony Maintain a Vehicle/Dwelling/Place for Controlled Substance
• 33-year-old Stephanie Ericka Curry, of Old Fort, with felony Possession of Methamphetamine
Dixon was issued a secured bond of $25,000 and Curry was handed a $5,000 secured bond.
“Outstanding work by our Drug Enforcement,” said Chief Deputy Mace. “Any effort to remove drugs from the community requires risk and sacrifice, and we want our staff here at the Sheriff’s Office and our partnering agencies to know we greatly appreciate them.”
