Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help identifying the male suspect pictured below, who took a box containing $500 in coins from a fast-food restaurant on January 11, 2026.
An employee at Royal Chicken & Biscuit, located in the 100 block of Market Street, left the box of quarters unattended on a counter. Minutes later, at approximately 1:50 p.m., the suspect was captured on surveillance video taking the box and leaving.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information on the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
