Wilmington Police have arrested a man on a drug charge following a vehicle stop.
On January 16 at approximately 11:54 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division conducted a vehicle stop in the 3000 block of Northeast Boulevard in reference to a vehicle violation. Officers made contact with 31-year-old Demetrius Jones and took him into custody without incident. Officers recovered 9.5 ounces of marijuana and drug packaging paraphernalia.
Jones has been charged with the following offense in addition to traffic citations:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
He was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $3,100 unsecured-bail.
