INCIDENT: CVC 2800.2(A) - Felony Evading
LOCATION: City of Needles
SUSPECT(S): Luis Lozada Ramos, 24-year-old, Resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, January 19, 2026, at approximately 4:45 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department assisted BNSF Railroad Police following a report of a train burglary in the area.
During the investigation, deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Jaguar believed to be associated with the incident. The driver failed to yield, leading deputies on a short vehicle pursuit. The pursuit ended when the vehicle collided with a telephone pole near the end of Front St.
Following the collision, the driver fled on foot and was located a short time later hiding in the bushes near L Street. The suspect, identified as LUIS LOZADA RAMOS, was apprehended without further incident.
Lozada Ramos was arrested on the above mentioned charges and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Lozada Ramos remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $300,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
