At about 3:00 pm, The Hollister Police Department and San Benito County Deputies have been involved in a pursuit that included gunfire. The suspect, allegedly driving a stolen green Corvette, abandoned the vehicle on Westside Blvd armed with a firearm. He engaged with officers with the firearm before running on foot and eventually taking another vehicle. The suspect led officers and deputies in a second pursuit that left the city limits. The incident is still dynamic and ongoing in Santa Clara County. Westside Blvd is closed from Central Ave. and Buena Vista Rd. and Buena Vista Road to Locust Avenue. They will remain closed until further notice. Please avoid the area. This appears to be an isolated incident and there are no current related threats in Hollister at this time.
