WINTER WEATHER NOTICE
There is potential for a winter storm to impact the Township of Clark with heavy snow accumulations and ice buildup. The Township will be paying close attention to this storm and will update information as necessary.
WHAT TO DO
- Remove all vehicles from the roadway;
- Parking is available at the Municipal lot by the tennis courts;
- Narrow streets, dead ends, are difficult to keep clear;
- All snow emergency streets are to be clear; Clark police will ticket and tow them as necessary;
- Basketball hoops must be moved off the roadway so plow equipment can avoid damage. The township is not responsible for any damage;
- Clearing of snow into the street is strictly prohibited:
- Please make sure snow-blowing or shoveling is placed on the property.
SAFETY
In the event of a power failure:
- PSEG - Report a PSEG outage and receive status updates by texting OUT to 4PSEG (47734), through the PSEG app, on the PSEG website at pseg.com and/or call 1-800-436-PSEG (7734);
- Do not call 911;
- Portable generators should be used at least 10 feet away from any open doors or windows to prevent carbon monoxide from entering the building;
- Wires on the ground should be considered live. Avoid them in all cases (if sparking or on fire - please call 911)
- Tree branches may hang low due to ice/snow build-up. This can be dangerous so avoid them;
