In anticipation of this weekend's snow, vehicles must be removed from the roadways. During a snow event, residents may park vehicles on their lawn, once roads are cleared and plowing is complete, cars can be placed back in the street.
Below are some helpful tips about snow removal
- Remove any portable basketball hoops from the street to allow for curb to curb plowing. Remember, most snowplows are as tall as the hoop.
- Plowing operations will sometimes catch the attention of children. However, plowing is dangerous and requires extreme concentration, so please instruct children to avoid the snowplows.
- Avoid driving if you can, allow the snowplows to accomplish their task and make the roads safer for traveling.
- Wait for the snowplow to plow your street before clearing the end of your driveway. This will help with the inconvenience of continued shoveling.
- Shovel the majority of the snow from your driveway to the left side(when facing your home from the street). When the snowplow arrives, there will be less snow piled up to be turned over back into the driveway apron.
