Major Winter Storm

Winter Storm Warning and Cold Weather Advisory.  A Winter Storm Warning has been issued from midnight tonight to 6PM Sunday.  Current predictions is for the Snow to start around 3-6 AM tonight and end between 6AM-12PM Sunday.  Snow amount for Cooper County is forecasted to be between 5"-11".  Snow will be a light fluffy texture with a NNE wind 10-15 mph and there may be areas of drifting snow.  Bitterly cold temperatures near 0 to -15 degrees below zero are expected with wind chill values of 5-20 below.  Snow will stick to pavement.

Travel will be hazardous with slick roads and low visibility.  Please stay off of roadways unless absolutely necessary.  Stay indoors if possible.
