Advisory

Snow Emergency Plan in effect until 8:00am on Tuesday, January 27, 2026

Snow Emergency Plan –
January 24, 2026 @ 12:00pm

East Pennsboro Township has put into place a Snow Emergency Plan in effect until 8:00am on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Travel is discouraged unless absolutely necessary.

Parking on Snow Emergency Routes is prohibited. All vehicles must be removed from Snow Emergency Route by 8:00pm Saturday, January 24th, after which time Police will have vehicles towed at the owner’s expense. Free parking is available to the public at the Township Administration Building, 98 South Enola Drive, and the West Fairview Annex Building, 440 Chestnut Street. Please see attached maps for parking locations.

Please practice patience during and after the storm. The Township has 105 miles of roadways. It takes a long time to make a complete and full pass. Crews are working in shifts and will get to all of the streets in time. Do not expect bare roadways – some snow will remain. Salt is less effective in extreme cold.

Please do not shovel/snow blow snow back into the streets.

Keep fire hydrants clear of snow. The couple of minutes saved during an emergency might make the difference between life and death.

Check on your elderly neighbors. Make sure they don’t need help.

And remember – Spring is right around the corner.
