Final Notice - Action Required: Register for Regroup to Continue Receiving Town Alerts
If you have already signed up for Regroup, disregard this email.
To better serve our community, keep you informed, and deliver alerts where they matter most, the Town of West Springfield will officially transition to a new notification system, Regroup, effective March 1, 2026.
If you do not register for Regroup, you will stop receiving Town alerts after March 1.
Why the change?
The Town is moving from our current Nixle by Everbridge system to Regroup, a powerful and easy-to-use communication platform designed specifically for government agencies.
Regroup allows us to communicate quickly, clearly, and effectively through:
-
Text messages
-
Phone calls
-
Emails
-
Mobile app notifications
-
Social media and more
Residents can choose how they prefer to receive alerts.
The system also supports geotargeted messaging, meaning notifications can be sent only to the neighborhoods or areas affected by an event or public safety issue—reducing unnecessary alerts and improving accuracy.
Additional features include:
-
Emergency alerts, evacuations, and severe weather notices
-
Daily updates such as road closures, community events, and public meeting reminders
-
Two-way communication with residents
-
Multi-language delivery to ensure accessibility for all
How you receive alerts won’t change—we’ll simply be able to serve you better.
Enrollment Incentive — Win a West Springfield Monopoly Game!
To encourage early enrollment, the Town will raffle off 10 West Springfield Monopoly board games.
-
All residents who sign up for Regroup will be automatically entered
-
Deadline to be eligible: February 1, 2026
-
Winners will be contacted directly with instructions on how to claim their prize
What residents need to do
We are asking all residents, especially those currently enrolled in Nixle/Everbridge, to self-register in the new Regroup system so we have accurate, up-to-date contact information.

Public safety information

Road closures and DPW notices
-
Storm announcements and parking bans
-
Community events and reminders
-

-
Volunteer and civic engagement opportunities
Regroup is widely used by municipalities, police and fire departments, utilities, and emergency management teams because it is reliable, user-friendly, and built specifically for public communication.
Thank you for taking a moment to register. This upgrade allows us to keep West Springfield informed, safe, and connected with modern tools that match our community’s needs.
If you have any questions, please contact the Mayor’s Office.
