Before an Outage
- Charge cell phones
- Gather supplies
- Turn refrigerator/freezers to a colder setting
During an Outage
- Stay clear of downed power lines
- Turn off all appliances
- Keep refrigerator/freezer doors closed to prevent food spoilage
- Do not use generators indoors
- If you have a disability/access needs, or use Life Sustaining Equipment (LSE) and need immediate assistance, dial 911.

What: Winter Storm Warning
Where: NYC
When: 3:00 AM on 1/25 until 6:00 PM on 1/26
Hazards: 10 to 14 inches of snow expected to cause significant travel difficulties. Roads may be dangerous & strong winds may cause power outages. Use mass transit.Preparedness Actions: Use caution when walking, biking, or driving and allow for additional travel time.
