The male victim, 33, was in the listed area when he was shot by an unknown suspect. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. SUSPECT: Hispanic male adult.
2. Traffic Fatality (1919) El Dorado Street and Poplar Street, Civic District
Officers were driving in the area when they came upon the scene of a vehicle that had struck two male pedestrians. The pedestrians were transported to an area hospital for treatment, but one male, 68, succumbed to his injuries. Traffic investigators responded and assumed the investigation.
3. Pursuit Arrest (2009) 700 Block of San Miguel Avenue, Bear Creek District
The male victim, 43, was inside his residence in the listed area when it was struck by gunfire. The suspect fled in a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and attempted to stop it, but the suspect failed to yield and led them on a pursuit. The pursuit ended when officers disabled the vehicle and arrested the suspect. The suspect was found in possession of a firearm and narcotics. ARRESTED: Carlos Rodriguez, 35, for shooting into a dwelling, driving under the influence, pursuit, weapon, and narcotics charges.
