Burlington Township Winter Weather Notice
A winter storm is approaching, and Burlington Township is prepared. Crews are monitoring conditions closely and ready to respond to ensure roadways and essential services remain safe and accessible.
Vehicle & Snow Removal Reminder (Mandatory):
During snowstorms, all vehicles must be removed from the streets to allow proper snow removal by Township plows. Please do not blow or shovel snow into the streets, as it is against Township ordinance and interferes with plowing efforts.
Important Reminders:
Ordinance 15:2 – Snow Emergency:
Keep vehicles off the streets until plowing is complete.
Avoid opening driveway aprons too early.
Do not throw snow into the streets.
The Township is not responsible for clearing around mailboxes.
Remove basketball hoops and other objects from the curb.
Ordinance 520-13:
Within 24 hours of a storm’s end, property owners/tenants must clear snow and ice from sidewalks and fire hydrants adjacent to their property.
Trash Collection:
Collection will follow the holiday schedule and will be delayed by one day. Check back on our Facebook page for updates.
Recycling Center:
The Burlington Township Recycling Center will be closed on Sunday, January 25, 2026.
Power Outages & Safety:
If you experience a power outage, contact PSE&G at 1-800-436-7734. Avoid downed wires and report them immediately — always assume they are energized.
Please take a moment to review the attached flyers for additional safety information and helpful reminders.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep Burlington Township safe this winter. Please stay safe, take care, and look out for one another during the storm. ![]()
