A State of Emergency is hereby declared in the Town of Yorktown, effective as of 6:00 A.M. on Sunday, January 25, 2026. This State of Emergency has been declared due to the forecasted heavy snow and blizzard conditions expected today. It is anticipated that the storm will cause extremely hazardous conditions on the roadways, caused by heavy snow, fallen,and downed power lines. This situation threatens public safety. This State of Emergency will remain in effect until rescinded by a subsequent order.
