Frigid temperatures associated with Winter Storm Fern are expected to arrive in our area late Sunday into Monday morning and then again Monday night into Tuesday. Citizens are urged to avoid out of area travel and to check on elderly neighbors and at-risk persons throughout the event. Remember to also protect pets, plants, and pipes. Free rides to one of two warming centers are available upon request by calling Rockport Dispatch at 361-729-1111.
