WINTER STORM PARKING & SNOW REMOVAL NOTICE 
Hawthorne Police Department Traffic Bureau 

A winter storm with the potential for significant snowfall is forecasted for the area. 

Essential Borough personnel will be actively working to plow and clear roadways. Residents are strongly encouraged to remove vehicles from public streets whenever possible. This allows for more efficient snow removal operations and ensures access for emergency responders should the need arise. 

Temporary Overnight Parking 
Beginning Saturday, 01/24/26 at 3:00 PM, overnight parking will be permitted at the following school properties: 

• Washington School 

• Roosevelt School 

• Lincoln Middle School 

Vehicles parked on school property must not block school entrances or driveways. All vehicles must be removed by Monday, 01/26/26 at 9:00 AM. 

Snow Emergency Ordinance Chapter 505-75 
Vehicles must be removed from Borough roadways when snowfall reaches two inches or more. A list of affected streets and the full ordinance can be reviewed at the link below:

24-Hour Parking Restriction

Sidewalk Snow Removal Chapter 444-14 
Property owners are responsible for removing snow and/or ice from sidewalks within eight hours of daylight after snowfall has ended. The ordinance can be reviewed at:
