Sunday, January 25, heavy snow is expected throughout the day, continuing into Monday. 12 inches of snow, or more, is expected. Parking in Moonachie, on snow covered streets, is prohibited by Borough Ordinance. This restriction is to allow for the proper clearing of snow and ice as well as the safe passage of emergency vehicles.
Vehicles left parked on snow covered streets will be ticketed and may be towed, if necessary.
Moonachie Borough Hall parking lot may not be used as off-street parking. It must remain empty for the duration of the storm to allow regular clearing for borough personnel and emergency vehicles. Vehicle’s left in the Brough lot will be removed.
If you have no other options to remove your car from the street, you may park at the Redneck Avenue baseball field parking lot, if necessary. You should move your from the street before snow begins.
