In response to Winter Storm Fern and the potential for power outages and extreme cold, here are a few emergency shelters for residents in need of a warm, safe place overnight.

• Saturday 8 PM – Sunday 7 AM
• Sunday 8 PM – Monday 7 AM

• Medications & medical supplies
• Snacks/food for special dietary needs
• Toiletries & hygiene items
• Baby supplies if needed
• Small comfort items (books, toys, etc.)

Pets are allowed, but will be housed in a separate trailer by Gaston County Animal Care & Enforcement
(not inside the shelter building).
Warming Center (HealthNet Gaston)
For unsheltered individuals during extreme cold
