Per the National Weather Service, significant sleet is expected to arrive between 6 and 8pm and will increase through the weekend.
Some tips before nightfall:
* If possible, park your vehicles away from any trees, limbs or power lines.
* Salt your driveway, stairs, and/or outside pathways before accumulation
* Remember to leave a faucet running slightly to avoid busted pipes
* Dont leave your pets outside for extended periods of time
