Update 01/24/2026
The Village continues to monitor the upcoming winter storm. The National Weather Service's Latest Briefing is a reliable source to stay updated.
At present, we anticipate that this week's garbage collection services will proceed as regularly scheduled. If there are any changes to this, we will provide a subsequent communication.
One of the notable updates is that gale winds are increasingly likely. If you lose power, you must give notice directly to ConEdison. Their information is noted below.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Winter Storm Warning that is currently in effect and is anticipated to last through Monday. Our DPW crews have begun preparations, are scheduled to be working this weekend, and will be tending to the weather conditions through the duration of the storm. Total snow accumulations vary, and it is likely that the snowy mix may change to sleet on Sunday.
Residents are urged to avoid parking on the streets this weekend to allow the plows to clear roads safely. Given we will likely be receiving more than 4 inches of snow, the sidewalk plow will be deployed. The timing of which is dependent upon the snowfall. If there are any concerns about the sidewalk plow, please consider placing snow sticks in the grass that abuts the sidewalk.
Sidewalk plowing is provided as a courtesy and the process takes time. Pursuant to Pelham Manor Code 157-5.G., homeowners are responsible for keeping the walks in the front, rear, and side of their property in a safe condition. Please make sure to clear all ice and snow from the sidewalks around your home. Our code enforcement personnel will be keeping an eye out for sidewalk conditions as cold weather persists.
Due to heavy snow accumulation, power outages are possible. If you lose power, notice must be given directly to ConEdison. You may report and monitor power outages through their mobile app, online, or by phone 1-800-752-6633. If you see downed electrical wires, do not go near them. Assume all downed wires are electrified. Report any downed wires to ConEdison.
If you need emergency assistance during either weather event, please call the Pelham Manor Police Desk at 914-738-1000 or 911 from a landline phone. As always, our Police and Fire Departments are prepared to respond.
