A Winter Storm Warning is in effect. We remain on track for a highly impactful winter storm tomorrow, with significant to major impacts expected.
Storm Timeline & Impacts
• Snow begins pre-dawn and intensifies through the morning
• Heavy snow midday into early afternoon with rates of 1–2” per hour
• Sleet mixes in mid to late afternoon, making accumulations heavier and harder to clear
• Areas south of I-78 may see up to 1” of sleet
• Precipitation tapers off in the evening with periods of light snow/ice
• Light snow possible Monday morning as the storm exits
TRAVEL ADVISORY
Hazardous driving conditions are expected. Travel should be avoided unless absolutely necessary. Conditions may deteriorate quickly.
Additional Impacts Possible
• Power outages
• Snow parking regulations in effect
• Difficult road conditions throughout the storm
DPW UPDATE
Raritan Township DPW crews will be salting and plowing throughout the storm. Residents are reminded to remove vehicles from Township streets and stay off the roads when possible to assist snow removal operations.
