Full Notification

Just after noon on January 24, 2026, the Simi Valley Police Department was alerted through a FLOCK notification of a possible stolen vehicle in the area of Sycamore Dr and Cochran St.  An officer checked the area and located the occupied vehicle in the 2800 block of Cochran St.

The occupant, identified as Casey Millar ( a 34 year-old Santa Barabara resident), was detained.  The vehicle was stolen the night of January 23, but not reported as stolen until the morning of January 24.  Several items of possible stolen property were located in the vehicle and through the officer's investigation it was determined that Millar came to Simi Valley to sell some of the stolen property at a local business.

Millar was arrested and booked for 10851 VC (stolen vehicle), 496 PC (possession of stolen property), and 11377 HS (possession of a controlled substance).

This is another example of the Simi Valley Police Department's ability to use technology to support our efforts to reunite victims of crimes with their property.
