SNOW HAS STARTED- MOVE VEHICLES

IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY THE VILLAGE OF NEW PALTZ YOU PARK YOUR VEHICLE OFF THE ROADWAY TO ALLOW THE REMOVAL OF SNOW BY DPW WORKERS. ANYONE FAILING TO DO SO WILL BE SUBJECTED TO TICKETING AND TOWING OF YOUR VEHICLE. PLEASE MAKE ALL NECESSARY ARRANGMENTS BEFORE THE SNOW STARTS.

BE ADVISED: THERE ARE NO PUBLIC PARKING LOTS IN NEW PALTZ. PLEASE SEEK OTHER OPTIONS.

We are expecting significant snow fall starting Sunday. Please help our Town Highway, Village DPW, County and State road crews by removing your vehicles from the street when it begins to snow so they’re able to safely plow the roads. Please share this information so we avoid having to tow vehicles.

The Town code prohibits the parking, stopping, or standing of any motor vehicle by any person upon the roadway or upon the shoulder or upon the slope of any highway within the Town commencing from the time that the accumulation of snow reaches a level of at least two inches and continuing until such time as the highway has been fully plowed and cleared;

The Village code prohibits the parking or standing of vehicles on all streets within the Village of New Paltz and on all parking lots owned, leased or maintained by the Village during any snowfall from the time the accumulation of snow reaches a level of at least two inches until the street or parking lot has been fully plowed by the Department of Public Works.
