Winter Storm Update

FROM THE DESK OF MAYOR BIANCHINI

January 25, 2026 – 12:30 PM

Pemberton Township continues full storm‑response operations as today’s winter storm transitions from steady snowfall to a wintry mix this afternoon and evening.

As of 12:30 PM, the Department of Public Works has 30 vehicles actively operating on the road, including 12 salting/plow trucks and 18 plow‑only vehicles. Crews remain focused on keeping primary routes open throughout the event and advancing through secondary neighborhoods as conditions allow.

Snow totals of 6–8 inches are expected, with icing possible from 1:00 PM through midnight. Operators will continue plowing throughout the day and will apply salt where needed to prevent compaction and icing.

Crews will conclude operations for the day at 10:00 PM. They will return at 5:00 AM tomorrow to complete:

  • Final roadway clearing

  • Pushbacks and widening

  • Intersections and cul‑de‑sacs

  • Final salting after the icing period ends overnight

This break is required to allow drivers to rest in accordance with safety best practices and to ensure operators are fully alert for early‑morning cleanup.

  • Primary routes: Passable throughout the storm; final cleanup early Monday morning

  • Secondary routes: Completed shortly after crew return, between 5:00–8:00 AM

  • Neighborhoods & cul‑de‑sacs: Expected completion by mid Monday afternoon, depending on overnight icing and drifting

Residents are asked to avoid unnecessary travel and keep roads clear of parked vehicles to allow plow operators to work safely and efficiently. Residents are also reminded of the “Snow Emergency No Parking” ordinance that is in effect.

Pemberton Township will continue to provide updates as conditions evolve. In emergencies, please call 911. Non‑emergency concerns may be directed to the Public Works office at [email protected].
