Rising temperatures have caused snow in our area to transition to sleet and, in some locations, all rain. Forecasts indicate temperatures will drop below freezing later this evening, which will lead to icing on roadways and hazardous driving conditions.
Residents are strongly urged to remain off the roadways unless it is an emergency. Roadways remain hazardous, and limiting travel will allow plow and road crews to safely clear snow and treat road surfaces before conditions refreeze.
