Alert: Winter Storm Warning until 01:00PM Monday

Road conditions are slick and deteriorating with sleet & ice. Avoid unnecessary travel- Road crews are out working. 

* WHAT...Heavy snow, mixing with or changing to sleet this evening, then changing to light freezing rain or freezing drizzle overnight. Additional snow and sleet accumulations between 5 and 11 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph. 

* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York. 

* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Monday. 

* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, are already slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow.
