Sheriff Clint Roach reports that on 01/25/2026 at approximately 1637 hours, his deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a two vehicle crash on Townhall Rd south of Downey St., Silver Creek Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation showed that a vehicle driven by Kenneth Ian Wilson (24 years old from Dowagiac, MI) was southbound on Townhall Rd. while a vehicle driven by Joel Douglas Layman (50 years old from Sodus, MI) was Northbound on on Townhall Rd. The two vehicles sideswiped as they passed each other. Kenneth Iam Wilson was transported by SCAS Ambulance to Dowagiac Beacon Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.
Assisting agencies on scene were SMCAS EMS and Indian Lake Fire Department.
The crash remains under investigation.
