Winter Storm Update – Weather Advisory Cold & Travel Caution
From the Raritan Township Office of Emergency Management
Waves of lighter snow are exiting the area. Most of the storm has passed, but flurries and occasional light snow will continue this morning as lingering moisture slowly moves out. An additional scattered coating up to 0.5 inch is possible before precipitation ends for good between 8–10 AM.
There have been reports of freezing drizzle during very light precipitation this morning. With temperatures in the upper teens to near 20°F, any slushy or wet surfaces will quickly turn icy. Please use caution while traveling, especially on untreated roads, sidewalks, and parking lots.
Conditions may moderate slightly late morning into midday, allowing salt treatments to activate more effectively. A few flurries or a brief snow shower are possible around sunset today, with a greater chance of snow showers tomorrow afternoon into sunset as very cold temperatures persist.
Raritan Township DPW has been out throughout the entire storm and will continue throughout the day, clearing Township roadways
Raritan Township Offices are Closed Today.

-
Use caution when traveling and allow extra time
