Road Conditions: Jan. 26, 7:30AM Update
PRINCE GEORGE COUNTY, VA (JAN. 26, 2026, 7:30 AM) – Road conditions across the County remain hazardous due to refreezing overnight. Plowed and treated surfaces have developed new ice as temperatures dropped below freezing. Drivers are urged to use extreme caution or avoid travel if possible. Before heading out, check current road conditions on Virginia 511. Areas south of Route 460 remain particularly hazardous. Route 156 and Route 460 both have patches of ice. Many secondary roads are still untreated, icy, and slick as VDOT continues focusing on primary routes. Bridges, overpasses, and culverts remain icy—use caution or avoid these areas entirely. Even with sunshine, slick spots will persist. Do not let the sun deceive you—roads may still be icy.
