***IMPORTANT TRAFFIC ADVISORY***KEEPER DAY 5K RUN AND PARADE (Saturday, January 31, 2026)
On Saturday, January 31st, 2026 from 7:45 a.m. till 11:15 a.m. there will be road closures in Lighthouse Point in conjunction with the Keeper Day 5K Run and Parade. The run will begin and end at Frank McDonough Park, prior to the Keeper Day Parade, and will utilize a portion of the parade route (see below). The Keeper Day Parade will start in the 1900 block of NE 24 Street, travel along Lighthouse Drive, and end at Frank McDonough Park.
Residents of the Lake Placid area, and all areas EAST of Lighthouse Drive between Sample Road and NE 24 St, should note the race/parade route, which extends from Frank McDonough Park, south to NE 24 Street, will be CLOSED intermittently between the hours of 7:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. to vehicular traffic during intermittent times.
Keeper Day 5K Race Road Closures
From 7:45 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., the Lake Placid area, and all areas EAST of Lighthouse Drive, between Sample Road and NE 27 Street will be CLOSED intermittently to vehicular traffic. Sample Road will be closed during the run from NE 28 Ave to NE 23 Ave.
NOTE: THE PARADE/5K RACE ROUTE WILL OPEN TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC DURING THE TIME FRAME BETWEEN THE EVENTS FROM 9:15A.M. AND 9:55A.M.
Keeper Day Parade Road Closures From 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., the Lake Placid area, and all areas EAST of Lighthouse Drive between Sample Road and NE 28 St. will be closed intermittently to vehicular traffic. In addition, vehicular traffic will also be closed to those residents who live on NE 25th St, NE 26th St, NE 27th St, NE 27th Ct, and NE 28 St, along NE 21 Ter. During the beginning of the parade, residents will not be able to drive east/west of NE 21 Ave and NE 24 St until the parade has passed.
