As cleanup continues following recent snowfall, the City of Asbury Park is asking residents and property owners to please keep shoveled snow on your property and out of streets, roadways, alleys, and lanes.

Placing snow back into the street creates safety hazards, blocks plows, and slows down snow removal efforts for everyone. To help crews clear roads safely and efficiently, shoveled snow should be placed on lawns or other appropriate areas on your property - not in the roadway.

Please note that City Code prohibits placing, throwing, or shoveling snow or ice into any public street or roadway. Violations may result in fines of up to $500, up to 15 days of imprisonment, or both, as provided by City ordinance.
