Galax City Trash Pickup Changes

The City of Galax received an unexpected dusting of snow near sunset on Monday. While the City’s primary roads remain in good condition, this additional precipitation – coupled with extremely low temperatures – has complicated plans for trash pickup. This additional accumulation has made trash pickup on Tuesday unsafe. Therefore there will not be any City trash service tomorrow Tuesday, January 27th. We are now planning to pick up Monday and Wednesday trash routes on Wednesday; Tuesday and Thursday routes on Thursday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
