An additional water main break has occurred on Amsterdam Avenue in Hawthorne. The Highway Department has shut off the water main in this area.

The Water Department is working as quickly as possible to repair the breaks at the following locations:

• Commerce Street at Frankford

• Willis Avenue at Liberty

• Amsterdam Avenue

Residents in the Kensico Water District may experience water pressure issues and discolored water. Residents are advised to check that water is clear before washing clothes or using water for other purposes, as staining may occur.

Once repairs are complete, residents will be notified. After that, if you experience discolored water, run the cold water in all your faucets for approximately 5-10 minutes.
