FRUITPORT TOWNSHIP POLICE CONTINUE DEATH INVESTIGATION OF FRUITPORT RESIDENT
On 01-16-2026, Officers were dispatched to a medical call at 3352 Maplewood St. Upon arrival at the scene, it was discovered that 77 year old, Fruitport resident, Charlene Robinson, had been found deceased in the home.
The initial call and follow up was handled by the Muskegon County Sheriff’s office, prior to the investigation being turned over to the Fruitport Township Police Department due to venue.
This incident remains an open and active investigation and we are continuing to work with the family of Charlene, to address any questions or concerns that they have surrounding her death.
The Fruitport Township Police Department is still awaiting a determination from the Medical Examiner’s office as to Charlene’s official cause of death.
