INCIDENT: PC 29800(A)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm
PC 30305(A)(1) - Felon in Possession of Prohibited Ammunition.
LOCATION: 200 Block of F Street, Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): MICHAEL REED, 53-years-Old, Resident of Needles, CA
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at approximately 9:07 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/ Needles Police Department contacted Michael Reed during a follow up investigation that resulted in the service of a search warrant. During the investigation, deputies determined Reed was in possession of firearms and prohibited ammunition. Reed is a convicted felon and is legally prohibited from owning or possessing firearms or ammunition.
Reed was subsequently arrested on the above mentioned charges and transported to the Colorado River Station jail for booking. Reed remains in custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000, awaiting a court hearing.
