10 Arrested at a Chino Hills DUI Checkpoint
Chino Hills, Calif. – On Saturday, January 24, 2026, 1 driver was arrested for driving under the influence, and 9 unlicensed drivers were cited and released at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Chino Hills Parkway and Pipeline Avenue from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
Those arrested were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license. Deputies contacted 1,314 vehicles, and 27 vehicles were screened with 1 DUI arrest.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
